Veterinary paramedical product for the honey bees
Ingredients of the product
The solution (1 l) contains:
Oxalic acid dihydrate 42 g
Formic acid 4,88 g
Other ingredients: purified water, sugar, raw sugar, citric acid, propolis solution, essential oils, E-150d.
Target species
Honey bees (Apis mellifera L.)
The product is recommended for the additional treatment of the varroosis caused by the varroa mites (Varroa destructor). The product stimulates the cleaning instinct of the bees, therefore they remove the mites from the hive, bee spaces and from the capped and uncapped brood. Since these mites can only reproduce in the colonies of the bees, their removal from the hive means their death.
According to the examination of the ingredients of the product, and according to the EEC 2082/91 statement it can be used to manufacture bio products.
Dosage and the method of administration
The product, with the help of a body temperature flask with a reducer, should be sprayed in a thin stream onto the bee spaces covered by the bees.
Depending of the strength of the colony, the recommended dose for a colony is between 10 to 20 ml. The treatment should be conducted late afternoon, or early in the morning, when the colony is in the hive.

Special warnings
The product can be only used when the temperature is between 5°C and 25°C! If the temperature is higher than that the bees will leave the hive, therefore the efficacy of the treatment will be lower. The product should not get into the eyes, during the treatment the use of the safety glasses are recommended.
Expiry date
The product can be used for 2 years stored in the original package after the manufacturing date.
After the opening the product should be used in 6 months.
Storage
Store in a closed package on room temperature (below 25°C). Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
