Veterinary paramedical product for the honey bees

Ingredients of the product
The solution contains:

• No.1 flask: iodine (4 g) and other ingredients (ad 80 ml)
• No. 2 flask: formic acid (5 g) and other ingredients (ad 20 ml).

Target species
Honey bees (Apis mellifera L.)

The product is recommended for the additional treatment of the Nosema disease caused by the Nosema apis and the Nosema ceranae. Its positive effect is caused by beneficial characteristic of the iodine and formic acid, which the product contains. The formic acid content also helps as an additional treatment against the varroosis caused by the varroa mites (Varroa destructor). The product contains stabiliser and flavouring materials too, therefore the honey bees eat it willingly. The Nosestat can be mixed with sugar cake and sugar syrup, in which is dissolves well.
Recommended treatment period: fall and spring.

Dosage and the method of administration
The solution should be used in a 1:1 ratio with sugar cake or sugar syrup. The content of the flasks should be well shaken, then the content of the No. 2 flask should be poured into the No. 1 flask. After that the solution should be well stirred.
5 ml solution should be given to 1 litre sugar syrup or to 1 kg sugar cake.
The prepared solution which is into the sugar cake or the sugar syrup can be used for 3 days.

Treatment with sugar syrup:
The bees should be treated with the sugar syrup three times, and three days must be passed between the treatments (so they should be treated on the 1^st, on the 4^th and on the 7^th days). 500-800 ml should be fed to them. The treatment should be repeated after one week according to the previously described method.

Treatment with sugar cake:
200-300 g of sugar cake should be fed to a bee colony. After the bees had eaten the sugar cake with Nosestat, the treatment should be repeated once.

The product should not be used to prepare a mixed feed.
In order to avoid the overdose, please use the syringe that is included into the package, to dose the appropriate amount of Nosestat to the sugar cake or sugar syrup.

Contradictions
Do not use simultaneously with other products which are for treatment or prevention. The use of the Nosestat solution should be ended 7 days before the beginning of the honey flow.

Adverse reactions
None.

Special warnings
During the work with the Nosestat solution, it is recommended to wear polyethylene or latex gloves, and protective clothes, in order to prevent the skin irritation or its discoloration, and the discoloration of the clothes.
The use of the Nosestat solution does not substitute the targeted treatment against the varroosis.

• The product can be used only outside or in a well ventilated space.
• The spill of the substance to the environment should be avoided.
• I case if you feel sickly, then seek medical advice or go to the Toxicology Centre.
• In case of skin contact, wash it down with water and soap.
• In case of inhalation: the affected person should be taken to fresh air and placed in a restful body position, so he or she will be able to breathe easily.
• The placement of the content/flask as a waste: according to the national regulations.

H-sentences, which refer to the dangers/risks of the dangerous substances:

• It can cause serious burn, and eye damage.

P-sentences, which refer to the safe use of the dangerous substance:

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• In case of inhalation: the affected person should be taken to fresh air and placed in a restful body position, so he or she will be able to breathe easily.
• In case of eye contact: Rinse it for several minutes very carefully. If it is necessary, and can be done easily, then remove the contact lens. Continue to rinse it.
• In case if it is gulped: rinse out the mouth. It is forbidden to make the person vomit.
• In case of skin/hair contact: Remove all the impure clothes/undress. The skin should be washed with water/ take a shower.
• The placement of the content/flask as waste: according to the national regulations.

Expiry date
The product can be used for 2 years after the manufacturing date.
If the product is prepared for us, then the expiry time is 20 days.

Storage
Store in the original package, between 5-30°C, in a well ventilated, dry place. Protect from direct sunlight.

Package
The card box contains:
No. 1 container: glass or PE flask containing 80 ml solution
No. 2 container: PE flask containing 20 ml solution
An one-time used syringe with is attached to it.
